The goal is to ensure adequate and efficient use of the ERN (European Reference Networks) Core Services (Clinical Patient Management System and ERN Collaborative Platform) by the members of the ERNs. Proposals must include at least activity and/or, described below, may also include activity, and should clearly indicate which activity/activities they are addressing:
  1. Implementation of e-learning/e-training within the ERN through tools provided either by the European Commission or by third parties. This may include coordination activities aiming at the identification of training needs and/or in-house or third party services related to the production of the e-training in terms of content, format or design (e.g. use of professional trainers or communication professionals). Proposals should clearly justify the need for and choice of the elearning/e-training tools, and indicate for which purpose they will be used as well as the target user group(s).
  2. Implementation of one or more new data sets for disease–specific adaptation of the ERN Clinical Patient Management System (CPMS) and/or implementation of measures to improve existing data set(s) quality and data validation. This may include coordination activities for the purpose of developing, standardising, or improving data sets (e.g. review of data elements to be included). Proposals should clearly describe how the Network intends establishing new data sets or optimising the existing ones in terms of quality criteria, selection of data elements, (specialised) resources, etc. 
  3. Acquisition of hardware, software and/or asset maintenance necessary to implement activities 1 and/or 2 above and to ensure the connection of Health Care Providers (HCPs) to the ERN Core Services. This may include the continued maintenance of the operational helpdesks set up and funded under the CEF WP 2017 and/or equipment such as cameras, microphones, etc. 
Proposals should clearly justify the need for and purpose of acquisition of equipment, software, and asset maintenance.
